WEBSITE CURRENTLY UNDER SPAM ATTACK [Sort of fixed]

Postby Molester Stallone » 02 Mar 2016, 4:48 pm

The website is currently being targeted by spammers creating new usernames every minute and mass cretimg spam topics and messages.
I will look into it in around 8 hours once I have more time.

Cleaned the whole forum, banned the whole bots.
They keep coming, so we gotta keep fighting.
Did my best to ban every single one of them, even the ones that just registered before spaming.

Yeah, banning them doesn't necessarily help. I could completely delete every account with all its current posts at once but they just create new accounts... and now they went from 27 concurrent spammers to around 67. All we can do right now is clean up the mess from time to time. Kritz changed the captcha code people get upon signing up, but that didn't seem to help.
I did get administrator rights from Kritz, but I have yet to see what exactly I can do.

EDIT: Altered Anti-Spam-bot Settings to show a different form of captcha code.

EDIT2: Seems like Kritz fixed the problem for now. Yay
